Happy Birthday to Our Julia!

Yes, today our Julia turns 15! She has grown so much since coming home in March. She does not like to hear that she is getting taller or that she continues to grow. I tell her she is petite ... just like mom! :o) and that being petite can be fun! I was talking with one of her friends yesterday (Yes! She has made a couple friends at school! WOOHOO!!) and Ashley said that Julia told her that her pants from Ukraine are too small. She is having a birthday sleepover next Saturday with Ashley and another friend, Taylor.

Dad and Mom woke her up with the "Happy Birthday" song! Aunt Connie and Ariel called and sang her "Happy Birthday" on the way to work and school. She just beamed from ear-to-ear. :o) Timmy gave her a birthday kiss before she and Rymma left for school.

She received a text message from Krystina this morning: How r u? Happy Birthday Julia. LOVE you!:-) She also received a package from her family in France this afternoon - a photo album of pictures of her stays in France, her personal belongings and a card. They even wrote a little bit of English in her card! :o) She said that everyone at school told her Happy Birthday and she got tired of saying "thank you." LOL

We had a big family birthday party on Saturday to celebrate Julia's 15th, Shauna's 21st (10/31) and Timmy's 8th (11/8) birthdays. (We will post some pics later - I PROMISE!) Julia asked me all day on Saturday, "What you buy me for birthday?" I would tell her, "Nothing." She'd just look at me and smile. I didn't lie to her - John picked up her present! :o) You should have seen her when she opened her new digital camera! She ran right over to me and hugged me so hard she could have cracked a rib! And then she ran to John and gave him just as hard a hug. She was SO excited!!

Rymma and Julia went to their first American friends party last night! Ashley's birthday was yesterday. She turned 14. They were SO excited and did all the primping that girls do (I was quite experienced at that myself in junior and high school, thank you very much!) They looked beautiful! ... And they had a good time! :o)
