Spiritual Warfare

Last night at our diet class, the subject of stress was discussed. And then today, during our staff meeting, we were reminded of the spiritual warfare that is cast upon us daily as we serve within the church.

Wow! What impeccable timing! Spiritual warfare is everywhere. Have you ever had one of those days where Satan just seems to seep into your every thought or emotion? Yesterday was one of those days for me. I feel like he is hard at work to create more and more chaos in my life - home, work, ministry, finances, the adoptions, school schedules, hurriedness, the interweavings of all of them ... you name it. Sometimes I just want to throw up my hands and scream "ENOUGH!!!!"

Our lives are on fast-forward, puree, turbo-charged, hamster-in-the-wheel crazy!

Please join me in praying that negative thinking, stress, being overwhelmed, the ways of the world, being overcommitted, over busyness, hurriedness, fatigue, compromise, pressures, overworked, underappreciated, misunderstandings, and stress to not get in our Spiritual Homes and take over (Matthew 6:34; John 14:1).
